Last year the DIA were invited by Standards Australia to join the committee that is undertaking a review of AS/NZS 4146:2000 The Standard for Laundry Practice. The DIA were invited to join as many of our members are involved in laundry services in a major way both in the major cities and regionally. Many have government contracts requiring that laundry standards be met.
The DIA is pleased to advise that Kylie Jaramillo of Rene's Dry Cleaners and Laundry Point has been nominated as the DIA representative on this committee. Kylie has a wealth of experience in the drycleaning and laundry industry and is a long time member of the DIA.
We look forward to working with Kylie and the TX-016 Laundry Practice committee to make sure that the concerns and issues affecting our members are heard.
